An artist expresses themselves in many ways. For Andrea Clover, often called Dre, it’s been through chocolate and pastries. Raised in Minnesota, she began her culinary career at Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School in Minneapolis. Dre brings her experience from Useppa Island in Florida, Pinehurst Golf and Country Club in North Carolina, Hotel St. Francis, Red Sage at Buffalo Thunder, and Inn and Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
In Addition, Dre is very involved within the community. She participates annually in a number of high profile charity events in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. She won 1st prize for chocolate sculptures created for the Chocolate Fantasy event in support of the New Mexico Natural History Museum every year she has entered.
She is also the winning recipient of the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner’s Dessert Competition and was in turn invited to judge the 2013 competition. Additionally, Dre won the 2008 and 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Caper. She sparked national attention at the Annual World Pastry Championships in Las Vegas where she was asked to assist highly recognized pastry chefs who were participants in the event. Her contribution led to the Food Network’s Sugar Dome Competition. Andrea’s team, Sweet Heat seized 1st place for artistry competition in the Daredevil themed Chocolate, Cake, Metal, and FIRE!
